Общая протяженность двухполосного моста составит 414 метров, ширина — 10 метров. Протяженность одного из его пролетов составит 147 метров.
Сейчас пересечь Витим можно только по льду зимой или на пароме летом. Как сообщил губернатор Игорь Кобзев, мост свяжет город Бодайбо с «большой землей» и даст стимул экономическому развитию территории.
Строительство моста — совместный проект правительства и золотодобывающей компании «Полюс», которая работает в Бодайбинском районе.
