Боевики ХАМАС выпустили в направлении Израиля десятки реактивных снарядов. Под ударом оказались города Иерусалим, Тель-Авив, Бат-Ям, Ашдод и ряд других. По предварительным данным, при обстреле пострадала одна женщина. Также палестинцы обстреляли авиабазу ВВС Израиля "Хацерим", расположенную неподалеку от г. Беэр-Шева.

Обстрел стал ответом палестинской группировки на непрекращающиеся бомбардировки израильской авиации в секторе Газа.
