Во время визита министра обороны Сирии Али Абдуллы Айюба на авиабазу Хама ему были продемонстрированы самодельные беспилотники, которые использовались протурецкими формированиями во время одного из налетов.

Такие БПЛА используются протурецкими боевиками и для нападений на авиабазу Хмеймим в провинции Латакия. Один из дронов, аналогичный тому, что использовался для налета на базу Хама, был сбит российскими силами ПВО в августе 2018 года.
