До назначения в СЭБ Алпатов руководил управлением «М», которое надзирает за силовым блоком.
Ранее Центр «Досье» выяснил, что семье Алпатова принадлежит особняк на Рублевке стоимостью около 150 миллионов рублей. По ссылке — видео особняка и единственное изображение Алпатова, доступное в интернете.
