В своём выступлении на пленарном заседании XIII Рождественских парламентских встреч Патриарх Московский и всея Руси Кирилл подчеркнул, что русский язык — это наше важнейшее культурное достояние, которое мы призваны оберегать как зеницу ока.
«В последние десятилетия общество буквально захлестнула волна сквернословия. Эта духовная болезнь поразила многих, от мала до велика. Матерная брань слышна даже от малолетних подростков, с детских площадок, на школьных переменах, в общественном транспорте. Необходимо лишить мат созданной емупопулярности», — заявил он.
