لكن ما قد يخفى على كثيرٍ منهم أنَّ من مقتضيات الصدق أن يقبل خبر الصادق، ولا يكذبه لأجل هوى أو خصومة أو عداء أو خلاف.
وكما يتجنب الكذب على مخالفيه، فيجب أن يُصدِّق ما يقولونه من الحق والعدل، ولا يمنعه ما هم عليه من ضلالٍ أو عداوةٍ على تكذيب الصدق.
وهو معنى لطيف نبه عليه شيخ الإسلام ابن تيمية مستدلًا على ذلك بقوله تعالى ( والذي جاء بالصدق وصدق به)، فمرتبة الصديقية تقتضي أن يكون صادقًا، وأن يُصدِّق بالصدق أيضًا.
يقول الشيخ في هذا المعنى:
(وأنت تجد كثيرًا من المنتسبين إلى علمٍ ودينٍ لا يَكذبون فيما يقولونه، بل لا يقولون إلا الصدق، لكن لا يقبلون ما يخبر به غيرهم من الصدق، بل يحملهم الهوى والجهل على تكذيب غيرهم وإن كان صادقًا: إما تكذيب نظيره، وإما تكذيب من ليس من طائفته.
ونفس تكذيب الصادق هو من الكذب، ولهذا قرنه بالكاذب على الله، فقال : (فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّن كَذَبَ عَلَى اللَّهِ وَكَذَّبَ بِالصِّدْقِ إِذْ جَاءَهُ).

You may recall that, back when Facebook started changing WhatsApp’s terms of service, a number of news outlets reported on, and even recommended, switching to Telegram. Pavel Durov even said that users should delete WhatsApp “unless you are cool with all of your photos and messages becoming public one day.” But Telegram can’t be described as a more-secure version of WhatsApp. But Kliuchnikov, the Ukranian now in France, said he will use Signal or WhatsApp for sensitive conversations, but questions around privacy on Telegram do not give him pause when it comes to sharing information about the war. Given the pro-privacy stance of the platform, it’s taken as a given that it’ll be used for a number of reasons, not all of them good. And Telegram has been attached to a fair few scandals related to terrorism, sexual exploitation and crime. Back in 2015, Vox described Telegram as “ISIS’ app of choice,” saying that the platform’s real use is the ability to use channels to distribute material to large groups at once. Telegram has acted to remove public channels affiliated with terrorism, but Pavel Durov reiterated that he had no business snooping on private conversations. Perpetrators of these scams will create a public group on Telegram to promote these investment packages that are usually accompanied by fake testimonies and sometimes advertised as being Shariah-compliant. Interested investors will be asked to directly message the representatives to begin investing in the various investment packages offered. Telegram has gained a reputation as the “secure” communications app in the post-Soviet states, but whenever you make choices about your digital security, it’s important to start by asking yourself, “What exactly am I securing? And who am I securing it from?” These questions should inform your decisions about whether you are using the right tool or platform for your digital security needs. Telegram is certainly not the most secure messaging app on the market right now. Its security model requires users to place a great deal of trust in Telegram’s ability to protect user data. For some users, this may be good enough for now. For others, it may be wiser to move to a different platform for certain kinds of high-risk communications.
