✝️ 16 января Церковь вспоминает святую Женевьеву (Геновефу) Парижскую – христианскую подвижницу V-VI вв. по Р.Х. В память о ней, а также о тех, для кого она стала родной на чужбине, в Доме русского зарубежья проходит выставка «Русские – Европа. Под покровом святой Женевьевы» (6+).
🎨 Представленная экспозиция – это персональная выставка известного русского художника-монументалиста Филиппа Москвитина, приуроченная и к его юбилею.
🖼 Вы увидите свыше 30 полотен мастера – образ самой святой Женевьевы, пейзажи парижских улиц и виды других европейских городов, портреты Ивана Бунина, Федора Шаляпина, Ивана Шмелева и многих других знаменитых людей, а также пейзажи Москвы и Петербурга.

Two days after Russia invaded Ukraine, an account on the Telegram messaging platform posing as President Volodymyr Zelenskiy urged his armed forces to surrender. But Telegram says people want to keep their chat history when they get a new phone, and they like having a data backup that will sync their chats across multiple devices. And that is why they let people choose whether they want their messages to be encrypted or not. When not turned on, though, chats are stored on Telegram's services, which are scattered throughout the world. But it has "disclosed 0 bytes of user data to third parties, including governments," Telegram states on its website. The next bit isn’t clear, but Durov reportedly claimed that his resignation, dated March 21st, was an April Fools’ prank. TechCrunch implies that it was a matter of principle, but it’s hard to be clear on the wheres, whos and whys. Similarly, on April 17th, the Moscow Times quoted Durov as saying that he quit the company after being pressured to reveal account details about Ukrainians protesting the then-president Viktor Yanukovych. At the start of 2018, the company attempted to launch an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) which would enable it to enable payments (and earn the cash that comes from doing so). The initial signals were promising, especially given Telegram’s user base is already fairly crypto-savvy. It raised an initial tranche of cash – worth more than a billion dollars – to help develop the coin before opening sales to the public. Unfortunately, third-party sales of coins bought in those initial fundraising rounds raised the ire of the SEC, which brought the hammer down on the whole operation. In 2020, officials ordered Telegram to pay a fine of $18.5 million and hand back much of the cash that it had raised. These administrators had built substantial positions in these scrips prior to the circulation of recommendations and offloaded their positions subsequent to rise in price of these scrips, making significant profits at the expense of unsuspecting investors, Sebi noted.
