Как рассказал наш источник в Генштабе, отвод войск от города продолжится. При этом будет выведена не вся примерно 20-тысячная группировка, защищать Херсон на правом берегу Днепра, по задумке президента, останутся около 5 тысяч военных с минимумом техники. Их поддержат артиллерия с левого берега и, возможно, авиация.
«По замыслу президента, эти военные попробуют максимально долго сдерживать наступление украинской армии. В результате все они погибнут или попадут в плен, но выиграют время. Наша армия на Юге Украины перегруппируется и будет готова к новым наступательным действиям», - сказал он.
Отвечая на вопрос о том, стоит ли приносить столько военных в жертву, он сказал: «Президент считает, что стоит. Иначе мы потеряем не только Херсон».
