В мечети есть омовительный комплекс, мужская и женская молельные. Имамом мечети Муфтият РД назначил Мухаммада Давудова.
Возведение мечети на городском пляже было инициативой спортивного сообщества «Морские волки», которое обратилось в Муфтият РД с просьбой о содействии в благом деле. Благодаря сотрудничеству духовенства с администрацией города идея осуществилась. Мечеть находится в районе пляжа и городского парка, таким образом, у отдыхающих будет возможность вовремя совершить обязательную молитву.
На торжественном открытии мечети собрались представители духовенства, органов власти и администрации города.
