Это мера, которая помогает нам бороться с лесными пожарами: чем меньше валежника и сухостоя в лесах, тем ниже риск возгорания. Мульчирование также позволяет бороться с распространением болезней древесных пород, а еще это органический способ удобрения почвы.
Суть метода состоит в следующем. В лесах собирают поваленные трухлявые ветки и деревья, а затем вручную складывают на минерализованные полосы. Затем за несколько проходов мульчером измельчают древесину в щепки и труху, а в дальнейшем, когда идет опашка минерализованных полос, мульча смешивается с почвой и превращается в удобрение.
За один день с помощью мульчера можно обработать до 4 гектар леса. За год в среднем очищают порядка 100 гектар земли в севастопольских лесничествах.
