Штрафы повысятся в среднем в 1,5 раза, также власти планируют уменьшить скидку на их оплату с 50 до 25%. Правительство предлагает повысить наказание по многим составам 12-й главы КоАП. Самым чувствительным для водительского сообщества, станет повышение санкции за превышение скорости на 20–40 км/ч с 500 до 750 руб. Это наиболее распространенное нарушение ПДД, на которое приходится более 70% из 240 млн вынесенных ГИБДД постановлений (по данным за 2023 год).
