В конце сентября в бухте Врангеля на отмели оказался раненый гренландский кит — его загнали туда косатки во время охоты. Животное обнаружили местные туроператоры и сразу сообщили в Росприроднадзор и научной группе ИПЭЭ РАН.

Спасатели несколько часов поливали кита водой и отгоняли птиц, пока с приливом он не смог вернуться в море. В начале октября морской гигант вновь появился в бухте — его узнали по уникальным пятнам на теле. На этот раз помощь не потребовалась.

Сегодня руководитель Приамурского межрегионального управления Росприроднадзора Виктория Хатнюк вручила благодарности тринадцати участникам спасательной операции.

Спасибо всем, кто помог спасти краснокнижное животное! Экология — дело каждого!
