An diesem Samstag findet in Neu-Isenburg eine #AfD-Wahlkampfveranstaltung in der Hugenottenhalle mit Kanzlerkandidatin Alice Weidel statt. Laut der Polizei versammelten sich mehr als 9000 Menschen zu Anti-AfD-Protesten. Gleich mehrere Demonstrationen waren angekündigt worden. Zu den Aktionen hatten unterschiedliche Gruppen wie Bürger aus Neu-Isenburg oder Fridays for Future (FFF) Frankfurt aufgerufen.

Bereits in der Nacht zum Freitag hatten Unbekannte mit Werkzeugen die Glastür der Hugenottenhalle beschädigt. Als der Sicherheitsdienst sie ansprach, flohen sie zu Fuß. Die Polizei geht davon aus, dass die Tat mit der Parteiveranstaltung in Zusammenhang steht und politisch motiviert sein könnte.
