Вчера прошёл небольшой ивент для прессы и потенциальных покупателей (Адриан Аппьялоза, владелец одного из самых, если не больших, то точно курированных модных архивов, а ещё креативный директор Moschino, был замечен на коктейле), организованный аукционными домами Maurice и Kerry Taylor — открытие выставки лотов Margiela: the Early Years. Для публики экспозиция открывается сегодня (адрес — 81 boulevard Voltaire), вход свободный.

Судя по фотографиям, организаторам удалось воссоздать правильную атмосферу, очень “маржеловскую”: сложно представить, что цветы в пластиковых бутылках могли бы выглядеть настолько органично на ивенте какого-либо другого бренда.

Continuing its crackdown against entities allegedly involved in a front-running scam using messaging app Telegram, Sebi on Thursday carried out search and seizure operations at the premises of eight entities in multiple locations across the country. WhatsApp, a rival messaging platform, introduced some measures to counter disinformation when Covid-19 was first sweeping the world. The War on Fakes channel has repeatedly attempted to push conspiracies that footage from Ukraine is somehow being falsified. One post on the channel from February 24 claimed without evidence that a widely viewed photo of a Ukrainian woman injured in an airstrike in the city of Chuhuiv was doctored and that the woman was seen in a different photo days later without injuries. The post, which has over 600,000 views, also baselessly claimed that the woman's blood was actually makeup or grape juice. On Telegram’s website, it says that Pavel Durov “supports Telegram financially and ideologically while Nikolai (Duvov)’s input is technological.” Currently, the Telegram team is based in Dubai, having moved around from Berlin, London and Singapore after departing Russia. Meanwhile, the company which owns Telegram is registered in the British Virgin Islands. What distinguishes the app from competitors is its use of what's known as channels: Public or private feeds of photos and videos that can be set up by one person or an organization. The channels have become popular with on-the-ground journalists, aid workers and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who broadcasts on a Telegram channel. The channels can be followed by an unlimited number of people. Unlike Facebook, Twitter and other popular social networks, there is no advertising on Telegram and the flow of information is not driven by an algorithm.
