نخستین روز از ماه بهشتیِ اردیبهشت در تقویم ایرانیان بزرگ‌داشت «سعدی» نام دارد. البته که نباید فراموش کرد در این روز، بزرگانی هم‌چون «ملک‌الشعرا بهار» و «سهراب سپهری» نیز روی در نقاب خاک کشیدند... باری، شاید بتوان گفت که چه نیک بینیم چه با اندوه، این روز، روز توفان و آرامش زبان و ادبیات «فارسی» است؛ زبان فارسی تلخ و شیرین روزگار را در خود هم‌نشین ساخته و شاید همین است که آن را از دیگر زبان‌ها ممتاز و متمایز نموده. در گذرگاه تاریخ، وزیران و بزرگان و فاضلان و شاعران و عارفان و نویسندگان و طنزپردازان و استادان بسیاری درس‌ومشقِ سیاست و حکومت، زندگانی دنیوی و معنویِ نیکوی بی‌سیاست، پرورش نفسِ نفیس، انسان‌بودگی و هزاران‌هزار پند دیگر را در این گنجینه گنجانده‌اند. خرّم آنانی که نکته‌هایش را یافتند...

As the war in Ukraine rages, the messaging app Telegram has emerged as the go-to place for unfiltered live war updates for both Ukrainian refugees and increasingly isolated Russians alike. On Feb. 27, however, he admitted from his Russian-language account that "Telegram channels are increasingly becoming a source of unverified information related to Ukrainian events." Pavel Durov, a billionaire who embraces an all-black wardrobe and is often compared to the character Neo from "the Matrix," funds Telegram through his personal wealth and debt financing. And despite being one of the world's most popular tech companies, Telegram reportedly has only about 30 employees who defer to Durov for most major decisions about the platform. Telegram was co-founded by Pavel and Nikolai Durov, the brothers who had previously created VKontakte. VK is Russia’s equivalent of Facebook, a social network used for public and private messaging, audio and video sharing as well as online gaming. In January, SimpleWeb reported that VK was Russia’s fourth most-visited website, after Yandex, YouTube and Google’s Russian-language homepage. In 2016, Forbes’ Michael Solomon described Pavel Durov (pictured, below) as the “Mark Zuckerberg of Russia.” One thing that Telegram now offers to all users is the ability to “disappear” messages or set remote deletion deadlines. That enables users to have much more control over how long people can access what you’re sending them. Given that Russian law enforcement officials are reportedly (via Insider) stopping people in the street and demanding to read their text messages, this could be vital to protect individuals from reprisals.
