Приобрел, отсканировал и прочту книгу Сергея Бетева «А фронт был далеко» по совету Люси, симпатичной мне владелицы канала «Купить соль и две луковицы». У себя она эту книжку похвалила — мол, крепкая деревенская проза, про тыл. Это нечастая околовоенная тема, все больше про фронт писали; сходу вспоминается замечательная «Живи и помни» Распутина и чисто мемуарные тексты.

Рекомендую, кстати, в канал вглядеться, там про повседневность писательскую и читательскую, и вообще про повседневность. Даже жалко, что репостить оттуда нельзя, а то не преминул бы. Люсин язык живой, и всегда здорово с ней в комментариях потрындеть.

A Russian Telegram channel with over 700,000 followers is spreading disinformation about Russia's invasion of Ukraine under the guise of providing "objective information" and fact-checking fake news. Its influence extends beyond the platform, with major Russian publications, government officials, and journalists citing the page's posts. The account, "War on Fakes," was created on February 24, the same day Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a "special military operation" and troops began invading Ukraine. The page is rife with disinformation, according to The Atlantic Council's Digital Forensic Research Lab, which studies digital extremism and published a report examining the channel. The company maintains that it cannot act against individual or group chats, which are “private amongst their participants,” but it will respond to requests in relation to sticker sets, channels and bots which are publicly available. During the invasion of Ukraine, Pavel Durov has wrestled with this issue a lot more prominently than he has before. Channels like Donbass Insider and Bellum Acta, as reported by Foreign Policy, started pumping out pro-Russian propaganda as the invasion began. So much so that the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council issued a statement labeling which accounts are Russian-backed. Ukrainian officials, in potential violation of the Geneva Convention, have shared imagery of dead and captured Russian soldiers on the platform. Multiple pro-Kremlin media figures circulated the post's false claims, including prominent Russian journalist Vladimir Soloviev and the state-controlled Russian outlet RT, according to the DFR Lab's report. The last couple days have exemplified that uncertainty. On Thursday, news emerged that talks in Turkey between the Russia and Ukraine yielded no positive result. But on Friday, Reuters reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin said there had been some “positive shifts” in talks between the two sides.
