Огонь охватил не менее двух третей исторического зала бывшего завода, внутри находилось более 1300 электрических велосипедов, а также порядка тысячи аккумуляторов для них. Площадь здания составляет 25 000 квадратных метров.
Причина возгорания пока неизвестна, но завод находится неподалёку от Гданьского порта, через который проходят военные поставки для Украины.
