Комиссия по топонимике Екатеринбурга не согласовала идею установки памятника известному полководцу Александру Суворову.
О результатах заседания комиссии на своей странице в соцсети «ВКонтакте» написал депутат гордумы Екатеринбурга Дмитрий Сергин. По его словам, с инициативой установки памятника выступил город, кой суворовско-нахимовский кадетский клуб, лидер которого Александр Шадрин недавно вошел в городскую общественную палату.
Согласно представленным эскизам, памятник предлагается установить возле памятника Сергею Кирову у здания главного корпуса УрФУ.
В таком варианте проект одобрения комиссии не получил. Причина такого решения не уточняется.
