До Лени Рифеншталь у Олимпийских игр не было визуального стандарта, и вообще визуализация не была так важна, телевидения-то ещё не было.

И сама Олимпиада ещё только начала становиться тем, что мы знали в 20 веке. Вот, в 1938 оказалось, что это ЗРЕЛИЩЕ — до 20 века массовых зрелищ (ни спортивных, никаких) давно уже не было.

В 2014 году, похоже, состоялась последняя Олимпиада. Проект сам будет ещё жить, ибо и альтернатив ему нет, и сама институция сильная.

Но, давайте ещё раз констатируем: настоящий, идеологический конец 20 века был 10 лет назад, и это просто ещё одно свидетельство.

А Олимпийские игры жалко, конечно. Интересный был проект, и важный.
