Сам Буйнов заявил RTVI, что за рулём Lexus LX 570 был не он, а его водитель. При этом, по данным источника ТАСС в правоохранительных органах, машиной управлял именно Буйнов.
СМИ сообщают, что музыкант в момент ДТП был трезв, он сказал полицейским, что не заметил женщину на переходе и не успел среагировать. Очевидцы утверждают, что музыкант не извинился перед пострадавшей и хотел уехать с места аварии. За последние несколько лет певец нарушал ПДД более 170 раз.
