Позже семья извинилась за неловкую ситуацию и рассказала, что специалисты посетили их поврежденную квартиру, составили документы и уже произвели выплату. Губернатор ничуть не обиделся, а, напротив, оценил осмотрительность. Выборочно обзванивать белгородцев он решил после отчета глав муниципалитетов по восстановлению жилья — хотел узнать о качестве выполненных работ.
