Why can't you call a genocide as such, even when the facts are this clear? Because many have come to a consensus: against every antisemitism, and for some racism.

Zine Binding, Soil Ritual, Collective Reading, Food Sharing

As a continuation of our event series Cooking with Mama, we warmly invite you to a special workshop dedicated to the collective binding of our textile zines. These artistic booklets bring together visual and written contributions from participants of the series, reflecting on themes of memory, transgenerational and local knowledge, decoloniality, and resistance across Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, Northern and Central Asia. With: Oksana Potapova, Petro Rusanienko, Saltanat Shoshanova Diana Khalil, Maryna, Giorgi Rodionov, Elnara Letova @elvis_cholpooh @nomads_ic

Rooted in the concept of soil - the place where all life begins and ends, a historical body layered with memory and ancestry, a land that bears witness to colonial violence enacted upon its body, a place of belonging - we will begin with a ritual centered on somatic grounding, resourcing, and reflection. This practice will guide us into a shared space of presence, preparing us to receive and honor the stories held within the zine.

Participants from earlier editions of the series are invited to read their texts, offering personal reflections that speak to care, lineage, and solidarity.

We will share plant-based food from Ukraine and invite you to bring a small dish linked to your roots, home, memories or connections you cherish.

The final part of the workshop will be dedicated to collaborative binding of the zines, physically weaving together the many solidarities, stories, and insights that have emerged throughout Cooking with Mama.

Inspired and supported by Hiwa K’s @hiwakhiwa artistic project Cooking with Mama

★ 30.05. 19:00 - 21:00 ~ Poetics of Mycelium work-in-progress film screening + discussion

In the dystopian context of relentless human intervention in the biosphere, it becomes essential to reimagine planetary eco-politics through the living architecture of mycelial networks. This alternative political vision seeks to cultivate cross-species kinships and to de-anthropocentrize ecological thought, moving beyond frameworks that place humans at the center of the biosphere. It aspires to re-commonize interdependent relationships grounded in symbiosis, synergy, resilience, and multi-local responsiveness, offering an alternative to the prevailing systems of unilateral, monopolistic, and hierarchical eco-political dominance.
Hand in hand: massacres, ongoing violence and official state policies.

During a combat mission on the frontline, our comrade Serhii Apukhtin — vegan, anarchist, anti-fascist, our brother-in-arms and friend — perished.

In this post, we’ve collected memories of him from those who knew him closely: comrades-in-arms, members of initiatives that he took part in.

The funeral will take place on Saturday.

To support his fa,ily and the families of two of his brothers-in-arms who died along with him you can donate here:

Funds are urgently required to pay for lawyers for asylum seekers from Gaza

These are friends and comrades from Gaza living here in Berlin and Germany who are facing imminent deportation in the coming days and weeks and freeze of their asylum applications. We urgently need money to pay the deposit to lawyers to defend them (€300 per case), otherwise they have no hope of staying here. All funds raised from here are for this cause!

Please donate if you can and share widely 💚

Funds are urgently needed to pay for lawyers for asylum seekers from Gaza here in Berlin and across Germany who:
(1) would be facing imminent deportation to Greece if a lawyer does not immediately appeal their deportation orders

(2) need legal representation to push forward their asylum claims frozen by German authorities (systematic policy aimed at making life impossible for Gazans also in Germany).

The Asylum4GazansNOW! initiative, that connects Gazan asylum seekers with trusted lawyers, urgently needs money to pay (at least) the downpayment (Vorschuss) to lawyers (€200-€300 per case). Otherwise great majority of affected persons have no hope of staying here, others of moving with their lives due to frozen applications. Berlin4 and Irish Bloc Berlin are supporting Asylum4GazansNOW! initiative with this crucial work.

Following the arrest of the Mayor of Istanbul on March 19, 2025, university students who gathered peacefully to exercise their constitutional rights during the growing anti-government protests were detained. Many were subjected to police violence and torture. We stand with all students who defend freedom of expression and strive to make their voices heard! All proceeds from this concert will go to support the detained students who continue to resist for their freedom and stand up for their rights, with the support of the Soli 25 Berlin collective solidarity network.
