"There is no forgiveness for overthrowing a government in the middle of a war," the letter reads. The Rabbis call on Edelstein to reach an understanding with the ultra-Orthodox community.

Sudan accused east Libya of supporting RSF after clashes broke out late last week between the Sudanese government and the Libyan National Army at the Sudan-Libya-Egypt border point. Both sides accused each other of violating sovereignty.

Rapid Support Forces are in control over the border point, which on the Libyan side is dominated by tribal forces loyal to Khalifa Haftar's Libyan National Army.

Heavy UAE aircraft traffic is observed at two airports, one in Chad (Merechal Airport), the other in Libya (al-Kufra Airport). The UAE are widely recognized to be backing the Rapid Support Forces, with the supply routes from the two airports to the RSF shown in purple on the map.

In the Persian Gulf, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) has issued an urgent security alert for all maritime trade through the Gulf, warning that the "increased tensions in the region" could lead to "escalation of military activity" against merchant mariners. American vessels navigating the Persian Gulf are also being advised to exercise additional caution.
