Как сообщает «Комсомольская правда», выданный грант в размере 250 млн руб. на создание данного комплекса рассчитан на 6 лет. Заказчиком машины выступают РЖД. Ранее об участии завода в программе грантов Правительства России на «доращивание» технологических компаний говорил первый замгендиректора Группы ПТК Илья Постников.
В прошлом октябре «Гудок» писал, что производитель планирует выпустить опытный образец ЩОМ-МРС в 2025 году. Тогда же запланирована подконтрольная эксплуатация комплекса на сети РЖД. В ПТК заявляли, что на стендовых испытаниях рабочих органов ЩОМ-МРС была показана скорость виброуплотнения подбалластного защитного слоя до 250 м/ч, что более чем в 3 раза выше, чем у машины AHM 800-R от австрийской Plasser & Theurer.
