Глава Национального бюро расследований Финляндии Сами Пайла сообщил, что след, который продолжается «на десятки километров», не удалось полностью восстановить из-за погодных условий. Он добавил, что следы заканчиваются там, где судно подняло якорную цепь, и тянутся на восток, «иногда на сотни километров».
На финских кадрах видно, что у танкера отсутствует левый носовой якорь. Вопрос - где он? Очевидно, что должен быть там, где заканчивается след его волочения по дну и начат подъем якорной цепи. Но его не обнаружили. По крайней мере, пока, хотя толщина ила позволяет.
