به طور کلی یک چیزهایی باید با هم جمع شود که بشود با آن زندگی شبیه انسان و شایسته آن در صلح و صفا را داشت. و بزرگترین مانع خرد و فردی برای اینکه ما صلح‌طلب باشیم خودخواهی است، فقدان همدلی است، عدم رعایت حقوق برای دیگران است. در مدرسه می شود انسان‌ها را انسان‌دوست، حق‌گذار، حق طلب و هزاران ملکات فاضله دیگر را قدم به قدم آموزش داد.در سال‌هایی که بچه‌ها می‌توانند یاد بگیرند و یاد گرفته شده‌ها را درونی بکنند و یک بخشی از شخصیت خودشان بکنند.در مدرسه هایمان میتوانیم اگر برنامه آموزشی مناسب داشته باشیم به‌طور موثر جلوی گرایش به رفتارهای پر خطر را بگیریم.برای اینکه ما بتوانیم به بچه‌ها صلح را یاد بدهیم باید آنها را آگاه کنیم و پیوند میان انسان‌ها و خطر جنگ را بیشتر و بیشتر به آنها گوشزد کنیم.به آنها اطلاع بدهیم که در جنگ چه اتفاق‌هایی می‌افتد.هرچه که بیشتر بتوانیم بدانیم که چه نمی‌خواهیم و چه می‌خواهیم، این‌ها را میتوانیم در کنار هم به رشد دستاورد جامعه‌ی‌مدنی در جهت صلح و عدالت ببینیم و به آن امید داشته باشیم.
