21 февраля Сергей Ермаков возложил цветы к вечному огню на Саур-Могиле. В церемонии также приняли участие первый заместитель главы Васил Шергелашвили, заместитель главы Владимир Судиловский, юнармейцы и активисты «Молодой Республики».

"В 2014 году украинские вооруженные формирования удерживали эту стратегическую высоту, как и фашисты в 1943 году. Сегодня очень символично отдать дань памяти всем защитникам Отечества, которые смогли дважды отстоять эту высоту, а действующих военнослужащих поблагодарить за их надежность и силу духа", — отметил Сергей Владимирович.

A Russian Telegram channel with over 700,000 followers is spreading disinformation about Russia's invasion of Ukraine under the guise of providing "objective information" and fact-checking fake news. Its influence extends beyond the platform, with major Russian publications, government officials, and journalists citing the page's posts. In February 2014, the Ukrainian people ousted pro-Russian president Viktor Yanukovych, prompting Russia to invade and annex the Crimean peninsula. By the start of April, Pavel Durov had given his notice, with TechCrunch saying at the time that the CEO had resisted pressure to suppress pages criticizing the Russian government. Asked about its stance on disinformation, Telegram spokesperson Remi Vaughn told AFP: "As noted by our CEO, the sheer volume of information being shared on channels makes it extremely difficult to verify, so it's important that users double-check what they read." The next bit isn’t clear, but Durov reportedly claimed that his resignation, dated March 21st, was an April Fools’ prank. TechCrunch implies that it was a matter of principle, but it’s hard to be clear on the wheres, whos and whys. Similarly, on April 17th, the Moscow Times quoted Durov as saying that he quit the company after being pressured to reveal account details about Ukrainians protesting the then-president Viktor Yanukovych. "For Telegram, accountability has always been a problem, which is why it was so popular even before the full-scale war with far-right extremists and terrorists from all over the world," she told AFP from her safe house outside the Ukrainian capital.
