Позавчера модный рынок потрясла новость о покупке оптическим гигантом Supreme у VF Corp за $1,5 миллиарда(что на $600 миллионов меньше, чем VF Corp заплатил четыре года назад, но VF Corp очкень нужен кэш). Рынок отреагировал 14% ростом цен на акции VF Corp, а вот смысл покупки для EL рынку остался не ясен: “What will make this a synergistic acquisition for EL does not seem obvious to investors,” - прокомментировал инвестиционный банк Jeffries. То ли EL собирается пойти по Puig и трасформироваться в полноценный фэщн конгломерат, то ли нас ждет полноценный запуск оптики Supreme (куда более вероятно).
Вчера же вышли новости, что Meta (запрещенная в РФ) готовиться купить долю в RayBan и рассматривает пакет от 3% до 5%, "which would be valued at about €4.5 billion ($4.9 billion) at current prices". Если это произойдет, а учитывая совместную работу Mate и RayBan над очками дополненной реальности это скорее всего произойдет, EL не только покроет расходы на покупку Supreme, но еще и останется со свободным кэшом на развите "category’s largest and most successful brand."
