The government should do if it was honest and Christian would help its natural born citizens. Countries are consecrated to various Saints for their protection and worship. It was not God's design to turn every land mass into an economic zone.
If it was God's grace alone that made Western civilization great why can't Indians develop plumbing, why do they still eat on leaves, and their entire country covered in trash? Christianity has been in India longer than the majority of Europe.

If I desire that He should come into my heart to-day, I must resolve to keep under my evil passions, and the self-will that dares to do battle against the will of God.
3. But when the gift came at last, it was a gift worthy of the divine generosity. It was a gift of infinite value, given to all and each of the sons of men.
