"Уже Крещение Господне. Все бороть нужно – идти в храм. Может, последний раз мы в жизни Крещение встречаем, Бог знает. Завтрашнего дня не знаешь. И будет стыдно, будешь потом жалеть: Боже мой! Были силы, я ж не пошел или не пошла в церковь. А теперь и рад бы, да уже сил нет, болезни, или уже во гроб положили. Стремитесь, пока есть силы, преодолевать все и идти к Богу, ко храму святому. Останутся только одни воспоминания в недалеком будущем: «Ах, когда-то ж были в церкви, а пели как, а служили как, а как все было радостно, светло и хорошо. А всего за грехи наши лишились".

Update March 8, 2022: EFF has clarified that Channels and Groups are not fully encrypted, end-to-end, updated our post to link to Telegram’s FAQ for Cloud and Secret chats, updated to clarify that auto-delete is available for group and channel admins, and added some additional links. But it also offers open channels that enable a single user, or a group of users, to communicate with large numbers in a method similar to a Twitter account. This has proven to be both a blessing and a curse for Telegram and its users, since these channels can be used for both good and ill. Right now, as Wired reports, the app is a key way for Ukrainians to receive updates from the government during the invasion. Channels are not fully encrypted, end-to-end. All communications on a Telegram channel can be seen by anyone on the channel and are also visible to Telegram. Telegram may be asked by a government to hand over the communications from a channel. Telegram has a history of standing up to Russian government requests for data, but how comfortable you are relying on that history to predict future behavior is up to you. Because Telegram has this data, it may also be stolen by hackers or leaked by an internal employee. WhatsApp, a rival messaging platform, introduced some measures to counter disinformation when Covid-19 was first sweeping the world.
