GLENDALE, ARIZONA: A White girl was stabbed twice by a Black student as her horrified classmates looked on.
The attacker, Kaci Sloan, said she had considered two different people to attack but chose Mara Daffron because the other person was “a veteran” and believed the victim she decided on was “an easier target.”
"[A] witness described the defendant [sic] was sitting in the classroom at a desk and suddenly got up and ran at the victim as the victim entered the classroom and stabbed her multiple times," according to the probable cause affidavit.
A brave student named Matthew McCormick disarmed the brute and potentially saved Ms. Daffron's life.
Ms. Daffron suffered serious injuries to her spleen but is expected to fully recover.

On Feb. 27, however, he admitted from his Russian-language account that "Telegram channels are increasingly becoming a source of unverified information related to Ukrainian events." Two days after Russia invaded Ukraine, an account on the Telegram messaging platform posing as President Volodymyr Zelenskiy urged his armed forces to surrender. Messages are not fully encrypted by default. That means the company could, in theory, access the content of the messages, or be forced to hand over the data at the request of a government. Soloviev also promoted the channel in a post he shared on his own Telegram, which has 580,000 followers. The post recommended his viewers subscribe to "War on Fakes" in a time of fake news. "The inflation fire was already hot and now with war-driven inflation added to the mix, it will grow even hotter, setting off a scramble by the world’s central banks to pull back their stimulus earlier than expected," Chris Rupkey, chief economist at FWDBONDS, wrote in an email. "A spike in inflation rates has preceded economic recessions historically and this time prices have soared to levels that once again pose a threat to growth."
