Как метко подметили некоторые наблюдатели, зато на церемонии будут представлены представители тех стран, кто за Холокост ответственнен и тех, кто охранял лагерь. Ну и, как выясняется, просроченный украинский президент, который героизирует тех, кто помогал уничтожать евреев, поляков и русских на Украине. Одним словом, большего надругательства над памятью жертв Холокоста трудно себе представить.
Но то, что можно в Варшаве, не проходит в Нью-Йорке. Здесь мы добились (не без труда) приглашения нашей страны участвовать в торжественной церемонии памяти жертв Холокоста в зале Генассамблеи ООН. И здесь мы будем иметь возможность сказать то, что хотим и должны сказать в этот день.

It is unclear who runs the account, although Russia's official Ministry of Foreign Affairs Twitter account promoted the Telegram channel on Saturday and claimed it was operated by "a group of experts & journalists." But Telegram says people want to keep their chat history when they get a new phone, and they like having a data backup that will sync their chats across multiple devices. And that is why they let people choose whether they want their messages to be encrypted or not. When not turned on, though, chats are stored on Telegram's services, which are scattered throughout the world. But it has "disclosed 0 bytes of user data to third parties, including governments," Telegram states on its website. Right now the digital security needs of Russians and Ukrainians are very different, and they lead to very different caveats about how to mitigate the risks associated with using Telegram. For Ukrainians in Ukraine, whose physical safety is at risk because they are in a war zone, digital security is probably not their highest priority. They may value access to news and communication with their loved ones over making sure that all of their communications are encrypted in such a manner that they are indecipherable to Telegram, its employees, or governments with court orders. Groups are also not fully encrypted, end-to-end. This includes private groups. Private groups cannot be seen by other Telegram users, but Telegram itself can see the groups and all of the communications that you have in them. All of the same risks and warnings about channels can be applied to groups. Apparently upbeat developments in Russia's discussions with Ukraine helped at least temporarily send investors back into risk assets. Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko that there were "certain positive developments" occurring in the talks with Ukraine, according to a transcript of their meeting. Putin added that discussions were happening "almost on a daily basis."
