В Государственной Думе Сергей Лавров вновь продемонстрировал профессиональное мастерство. Не затрагивая «в лоб» отраслевую повестку, министр явно дал понять, что вопросы энергетического сотрудничества, в том числе на Ближнем Востоке, в Арктике и на Каспии, будут в основе переговорной позиции не только с США, но и в неизбежном диалоге со «Старым Светом». Один из обозначенных Лавровым приоритетов на ближайший год - выполнение июньского поручения В.Путина о формировании на Евразийском континенте новой архитектуры равной и неделимой безопасности, которая должна со временем растворить в себе многолетнюю формулу «евроатлантической безопасности». Сотрудничество в энергетической сфере - один из столпов обновляемого миропорядка».
