Вообще, мне рассказывали, что люди такого градуса масштаба не умирают, их переносят в другое живое тело еще при жизни, потому что с миров посмертия (после всего, что они творят здесь) их вытащить уже не представляется возможным.
Если донора не находят вовремя - тело замораживают. Думаю там, под условным Денвером, никто не лежит сотни лет в ожидании "прорыва в мировой медицине", а от силы пару месяцев, пока не находят ему подходящий носитель*.
Бабке, по сплетням (!?), носитель подобрали на платиновый юбилей, причём, чуть ли не правнучку. В подобную конкретику мало верится, но "Чёрную Королеву" я сам почему-то недавно вспоминал, да.
А вообще этот мистический сюжет явно взят из кино (или наоборот?) - из хороших фильмов: Angel Heart, The Skeleton Key; и фильмов плохих, но раскрученных: Get Out, La abuela, Das Privileg... Хорошие советую пересмотреть.
