Телекоммуникационная компания Ellco сообщила, что «в связи с проводимыми учениями Роскомнадзора по отработке сценариев отключения доступа к зарубежному сегменту сети Интернет сегодня с 16:00 наблюдаются ограничения в доступе к некоторым сайтам и сервисам (WhatsApp и др.). К сожалению, мы не можем повлиять на данную ситуацию. Предполагаемое время восстановления — 16:00 7.12.2024»,— говорится в сообщении.

Soloviev also promoted the channel in a post he shared on his own Telegram, which has 580,000 followers. The post recommended his viewers subscribe to "War on Fakes" in a time of fake news. It is unclear who runs the account, although Russia's official Ministry of Foreign Affairs Twitter account promoted the Telegram channel on Saturday and claimed it was operated by "a group of experts & journalists." In addition, Telegram now supports the use of third-party streaming tools like OBS Studio and XSplit to broadcast live video, allowing users to add overlays and multi-screen layouts for a more professional look. For example, WhatsApp restricted the number of times a user could forward something, and developed automated systems that detect and flag objectionable content.
