Мало того, что ей всего мало, так уж ничего более и не хочется. Впала Хтонь в печаль великую от раздумий этих. Горевала она три дня и три ночи, пока пожар не случился и не погорело все добро ее разом. Села Хтонь на угольки хозяйства своего ненасытного. Сокрушалась она , как водится, еще с неделю- другую. А потом наскучило ей слезами-то брызгать. Поглядела вокруг себя- чего у нее было, того уже и не было. Но и мало ей , однако ж, не было тоже. А было в самый раз - руки, ноги, голова, да сердечко бьющееся. Зубы целы, коса крепкая, годы молодые. Встала Хтонь, отряхнула пепел с подола сарафана и пошла она жизнь свою жить новую. И не будь она Хтонью Сказочною, не прожила бы по-новому прекрасно, пуще прежнего.
