Сегодня в Бауманке прошло большое событие, к которому мы очень долго готовились, – заседание Совета глав правительств государств СНГ под председательством Михаила Владимировича Мишустина.

Одновременно, первый, и надеюсь, не последний раз к нам приезжал Председатель Правительства Российской Федерации.

Мы показали новые общежития, Квантум Парк, Конгресс-центр. Все эти сюжеты можно посмотреть у нас в канале и в канале Правительства России.

Все прошло отлично, громадное спасибо ребятам, которые все это организовали: управлениям Александра Гофмана и Ольги Репиной, комбинату питания и Марине Выборновой, всем службам университета, всем, кто выступал перед гостями, студентам, которые приняли участие в стратегической сессии.

Это было сложно, необычно, но очень интересно.

And that is why they let people choose whether they want their messages to be encrypted or not. When not turned on, though, chats are stored on Telegram's services, which are scattered throughout the world. But it has "disclosed 0 bytes of user data to third parties, including governments," Telegram states on its website. Some people used the platform to organize ahead of the storming of the U.S. Capitol in January 2021, and last month Senator Mark Warner sent a letter to Durov urging him to curb Russian information operations on Telegram. He said that since his platform does not have the capacity to check all channels, it may restrict some in Russia and Ukraine "for the duration of the conflict," but then reversed course hours later after many users complained that Telegram was an important source of information. The fake Zelenskiy account reached 20,000 followers on Telegram before it was shut down, a remedial action that experts say is all too rare. On February 27th, Durov posted that Channels were becoming a source of unverified information and that the company lacks the ability to check on their veracity. He urged users to be mistrustful of the things shared on Channels, and initially threatened to block the feature in the countries involved for the length of the war, saying that he didn’t want Telegram to be used to aggravate conflict or incite ethnic hatred. He did, however, walk back this plan when it became clear that they had also become a vital communications tool for Ukrainian officials and citizens to help coordinate their resistance and evacuations.
