Смерть — одна из главных тайн человеческого бытия, та черта, перед которой человек понимает истинную ценность своей жизни. Осознавая неотвратимость смерти, люди всегда пытались «приручить» ее. Обряды и ритуалы, которые проводят границу между живым и неживым, были призваны закрыть для смерти дорогу к жизни.

Выставка «Смерти нет?» знакомит с отношением к смерти в различных культурах, рассказывает о погребальных и поминальных обрядах, о том, что ждет человека после смерти в представлении последователей разных религий.

Перед вами предстанут сцены паринирваны Будды, героической гибели Гектора, мученической смерти св. Себастиана, убийства Зигфрида, перехода душ в иной мир, загробного суда и воздаяния, а также пребывания душ умерших в различных сферах, таких как Чистилище, Ад и Рай, Чистая земля Будды Амитабхи.

Again, in contrast to Facebook, Google and Twitter, Telegram's founder Pavel Durov runs his company in relative secrecy from Dubai. Channels are not fully encrypted, end-to-end. All communications on a Telegram channel can be seen by anyone on the channel and are also visible to Telegram. Telegram may be asked by a government to hand over the communications from a channel. Telegram has a history of standing up to Russian government requests for data, but how comfortable you are relying on that history to predict future behavior is up to you. Because Telegram has this data, it may also be stolen by hackers or leaked by an internal employee. Given the pro-privacy stance of the platform, it’s taken as a given that it’ll be used for a number of reasons, not all of them good. And Telegram has been attached to a fair few scandals related to terrorism, sexual exploitation and crime. Back in 2015, Vox described Telegram as “ISIS’ app of choice,” saying that the platform’s real use is the ability to use channels to distribute material to large groups at once. Telegram has acted to remove public channels affiliated with terrorism, but Pavel Durov reiterated that he had no business snooping on private conversations. He floated the idea of restricting the use of Telegram in Ukraine and Russia, a suggestion that was met with fierce opposition from users. Shortly after, Durov backed off the idea. Since its launch in 2013, Telegram has grown from a simple messaging app to a broadcast network. Its user base isn’t as vast as WhatsApp’s, and its broadcast platform is a fraction the size of Twitter, but it’s nonetheless showing its use. While Telegram has been embroiled in controversy for much of its life, it has become a vital source of communication during the invasion of Ukraine.
