Ранее ситуацией возмутился Еврейский центр Симона Визенталя (США). Спикер канадской палаты общин Энтони Рота, представивший Гунько как «героя Украины и Канады», принес свои извинения.
Ноту протеста в МИД Канады также направит российское посольство.
