Бейкер ранее был уличен в подделке ордеров и фабриковании документов для судов во время работы в ФБР. Также он непосредственно участвовал в поисках русского следа и курировал в ФБР досье Стила.
Илон Маск был крайне удивлен обнаружить бывшего высокопоставленного сотрудника ФБР среди работников Твиттера и уволил Бейкера тем же днём.
