Саме в цей день, 2014 року, на Майдані загинуло найбільше людей — 48. Цього ж дня, росіяни розпочали російсько-українську війну і вторглись до Криму.
Наступного дня, назва "Небесна Сотня" вперше пролунала під час прощання із загиблими на столичному майдані Незалежності 21-22 лютого. Назва з'явилась за аналогією з основними структурними одиницями Самооборони Майдану — сотнями.
Тоді, в боротьбі за наше майбутнє, українці не відступили, маючи лише дерев'яні щити. Українці не відступають і зараз.
Попри будь-які заяви заморських і московських імперіалістів, попри недалеких та наляканих європейських політиків, російсько-українська війна продовжується. Війна за наше виживання продовжується.
