He floated the idea of restricting the use of Telegram in Ukraine and Russia, a suggestion that was met with fierce opposition from users. Shortly after, Durov backed off the idea. A Russian Telegram channel with over 700,000 followers is spreading disinformation about Russia's invasion of Ukraine under the guise of providing "objective information" and fact-checking fake news. Its influence extends beyond the platform, with major Russian publications, government officials, and journalists citing the page's posts. "For Telegram, accountability has always been a problem, which is why it was so popular even before the full-scale war with far-right extremists and terrorists from all over the world," she told AFP from her safe house outside the Ukrainian capital. 中西區「山城」兩天山城街站，順利舉行，要感謝義工的辛勞，檔主的信任，表演單位的投入及參與者的耐性。
由於來臨正街的人數遠超預期，要向因而受影響的街坊小店，及因安排未盡完善而引致的不便向各單位致歉。

這五年，在正街舉辦過數十場不同規模的活動，從未遇過如今次般的巨大阻力。政府以行政手段打壓外，亦派出數十名不同部門的人員於此兩天戒備。

於公共空間辦活動的堅持，除了促進社區交往，更因為公共空間使用權，係我地必需堅守及捍衛的一環。今次一切平安順利，其實已等於完成了一個小抗爭，一齊在正街斜路齊上齊落，成就正街重現這熱鬧景象。
