Грандиозное полотно Ильи Репина «Торжественное заседание Государственного совета 7 мая 1901 года» спустя 107 лет вновь в Большом зале Мариинского дворца.

Над уникальной полномасштабной копией картины специалисты работали более двух месяцев, на монтаж ушло шесть дней. Она выполнена в технике «урбан-фреска», что позволяет добиться полного соответствия с шедевром. Для того, чтобы воссоздать багет, был сделан специальный слепок с оригинала.

Благодарим за такой подарок к 30-летию Законодательного Собрания Петербурга художника-урбаниста Олега Лукьянова, художественную мастерскую "Красотою мир спасётся", коллектив единомышленников. А также Русский музей и лично Аллу Манилову за содействие в реализации проекта.

As the war in Ukraine rages, the messaging app Telegram has emerged as the go-to place for unfiltered live war updates for both Ukrainian refugees and increasingly isolated Russians alike. Given the pro-privacy stance of the platform, it’s taken as a given that it’ll be used for a number of reasons, not all of them good. And Telegram has been attached to a fair few scandals related to terrorism, sexual exploitation and crime. Back in 2015, Vox described Telegram as “ISIS’ app of choice,” saying that the platform’s real use is the ability to use channels to distribute material to large groups at once. Telegram has acted to remove public channels affiliated with terrorism, but Pavel Durov reiterated that he had no business snooping on private conversations. Individual messages can be fully encrypted. But the user has to turn on that function. It's not automatic, as it is on Signal and WhatsApp. One thing that Telegram now offers to all users is the ability to “disappear” messages or set remote deletion deadlines. That enables users to have much more control over how long people can access what you’re sending them. Given that Russian law enforcement officials are reportedly (via Insider) stopping people in the street and demanding to read their text messages, this could be vital to protect individuals from reprisals. "The inflation fire was already hot and now with war-driven inflation added to the mix, it will grow even hotter, setting off a scramble by the world’s central banks to pull back their stimulus earlier than expected," Chris Rupkey, chief economist at FWDBONDS, wrote in an email. "A spike in inflation rates has preceded economic recessions historically and this time prices have soared to levels that once again pose a threat to growth."
