Несколько дней назад пожарные Якутии получили подкрепление в виде Ил-76, принадлежащих Минобороны. До этого в регионе уже действовала вертолетная группа, задействованная в тушении пожаров.
Всего за сутки эта авиагруппировка выполнила сброс около 750 тонн воды, перевезла 200 специалистов и свыше 25 тонн груза.
Даже несмотря на такую помощь, ситуация продолжает оставаться напряженной. На 14 июля зафиксировано 316 очагов с общей площадью активного горения свыше 100 тысяч гектаров.
За последние сутки было потушено 9 очагов, а с начала сезона было нейтрализовано более 1 тысячи пожаров.
