Практически никто не замечает, что между буквами слова «ОКТЯБРЬ» на схематично изображенной Дворцовой площади «бегают» солдаты и матросы с «мосинками» и «максимами».

Но самое интересное здесь другое – изображение Александровской колонны. Умышленно или нет, художник А.С. Чернобровцев изобразил ангела без головы и креста, либо все утратилось в процессе отливки – этого мы уже не узнаем.
Данный ангел – символ не только самодержавия, но и России, победившей в Отечественной войне 1812 года, о чём автор наверняка знал. Вместо головы – год Октябрьской революции.
