И страшная история, о которой на острове знают все и рассказывают всем - в 19 веке скрывающиеся в пещерах рабы, не поверившие британским солдатам, которые шли известить об отмене рабства, сбросились со скалы, чтобы хотя бы умереть свободными.

A scary story which everyone knows and tells everyone. In the 19th century the slaves hiding in the caves did not believe the British soldiers who came to tell them about the abolition of slavery. They threw themselves off the cliff to die free.
