Слідство встановило, що буковинець придбав на території Румунії 55 коробок з вугільними фільтрами для сигарет. Аби перевезти товар до України, чоловік приховав його у спеціально обладнаному тайнику свого автомобіля. Згідно з висновками проведеної експертизи, вартість контрабандної продукції перевищує 15 млн грн.

Emerson Brooking, a disinformation expert at the Atlantic Council's Digital Forensic Research Lab, said: "Back in the Wild West period of content moderation, like 2014 or 2015, maybe they could have gotten away with it, but it stands in marked contrast with how other companies run themselves today." Individual messages can be fully encrypted. But the user has to turn on that function. In 2020, officials ordered Telegram to pay a fine of $18.5 million and hand back much of the cash that it had raised. Telegram boasts 500 million users, who share information individually and in groups in relative security. But Telegram's use as a one-way broadcast channel — which followers can join but not reply to — means content from inauthentic accounts can easily reach large, captive and eager audiences. "The result is on this photo: fiery 'greetings' to the invaders," the Security Service of Ukraine wrote alongside a photo showing several military vehicles among plumes of black smoke.
