محمدحسین بهجت تبریزی معروف به شهریار یکی از شاعرانی است که بیشترین شعر را دربارۀ ایران و هویت ایرانی سروده است و ازجهت بسامد بالای سروده‌ها در بین شاعرانِ ایرانی کم‌نظیر است. این شاعرِ ایران‌دوست علاقه ی ویژه‌ای به ادبیات فارسی و بزرگانی چون فردوسی، عطار، مولانا، حافظ و سعدی داشت و فرنام و " تخلص" خویش را هم از دیوان حافظ برگزیده است.
این مستند رادیویی به ویژگی‌های شعر شهریار می‌پردازد و در این راستا از کلام کارشناسان هم بهره می‌برد. جلال محمدی، شاعر و پژوهشگر تبریزی در این اثر به خوبی به ویژگی‌های شعر شهریار اشاره می‌کند و نمونه‌هایی از آثار استاد شهریار ارائه می‌شود.
