Сегодня день памяти журналистов погибших при исполнении профессионального долга. Сегодня день рождения Даши Дугиной.
Раньше я не задумывался над ценностью их труда. Но ведь без их кадров, без их статей и репортажей мы никогда не узнаем, какой ценой дается нашим солдатам эта война, какой след она оставляет в жизнях мирных людей, которые оказались на её кровавом пути.
Без труда и жертвы журналистов, которые меняют светские мероприятия и уютные офисы на окопы, блиндажи, разбитые снарядами дороги и горящие города, мы никогда не поймём той войны, которая определяет наше настоящее, от которой зависит наше будущее.
И в этот день я хотел бы поделиться с вами своими работами, которые я посвятил погибшим от снарядов врага журналистам.
Русский народ будет их помнить. А я помолюсь за упокой их душ.

The next bit isn’t clear, but Durov reportedly claimed that his resignation, dated March 21st, was an April Fools’ prank. TechCrunch implies that it was a matter of principle, but it’s hard to be clear on the wheres, whos and whys. Similarly, on April 17th, the Moscow Times quoted Durov as saying that he quit the company after being pressured to reveal account details about Ukrainians protesting the then-president Viktor Yanukovych. Channels are not fully encrypted, end-to-end. All communications on a Telegram channel can be seen by anyone on the channel and are also visible to Telegram. Telegram may be asked by a government to hand over the communications from a channel. Telegram has a history of standing up to Russian government requests for data, but how comfortable you are relying on that history to predict future behavior is up to you. Because Telegram has this data, it may also be stolen by hackers or leaked by an internal employee. Soloviev also promoted the channel in a post he shared on his own Telegram, which has 580,000 followers. The post recommended his viewers subscribe to "War on Fakes" in a time of fake news. But Telegram says people want to keep their chat history when they get a new phone, and they like having a data backup that will sync their chats across multiple devices. And that is why they let people choose whether they want their messages to be encrypted or not. When not turned on, though, chats are stored on Telegram's services, which are scattered throughout the world. But it has "disclosed 0 bytes of user data to third parties, including governments," Telegram states on its website. Individual messages can be fully encrypted. But the user has to turn on that function. It's not automatic, as it is on Signal and WhatsApp.
