St Maximilian Kolbe's monastery Niepokalanów published the daily newspaper, Mały Dziennik (The Little Daily), in alliance with the political group, the National Radical Camp (Obóz Narodowo Radykalny). This publication reached a circulation of 137,000, and nearly double that, 225,000, on weekends.
Humankind has fallen, but it must rise again; it has become corrupted by its own fault, but it must heal through God's grace. This is not a mechanical healing of the body, but a free and voluntary healing of the soul. The patient must desire it and commit to it; for this, they must feel the full depth of their illness, the disorder of their will, the darkening of their intelligence. The physician will therefore let the disease run its course and release all its venom. Only at certain periods will they apply some preparatory remedy to direct its crises, even the most violent ones, toward the final healing. As humankind does not live for just one day, but through all temporal centuries, its restoration will only be completed over time. Its physician never loses sight of it: and this physician is God, who, at the appointed time, will make Himself the remedy.
What each of us experiences on a small scale, humankind experienced on a large scale: the battle between spirit and flesh, reason and passions. God had made us one: sin has divided us. Since then, there are two men within us, a Cain and an Abel; one carnal, the other spiritual; one earthly, the other heavenly; one of man, the other of God. Often, in His merciful justice, God afflicts the dominating flesh to free the enslaved spirit; He strikes the body to save the soul.
So it is with all humanity. God had made it one: sin divided it both from God and from itself. Since then, in human society, there have been two societies: one of the good, the other of the wicked; one of the just, the other of sinners; one of the children of God, the other of the children of man; the first, represented by Abel, Seth, Enoch, Noah; the second, by Cain and his descendants. When the corrupted part of mankind came to corrupt almost all the rest, God struck the flesh to save the spirit.

Another Cain
The Jewish people, in the fury of their jealousy, killed Christ their brother, leader of the younger people, the Christian people. Eighteen centuries have passed since this crime. For eighteen centuries, God and men have asked this other Cain: Where is your brother? Where is the Christ who was to be born of your blood, and, according to the prophets, convert all nations to God? And for eighteen centuries, he answers with the obstinacy of the first fratricide: I do not know; am I my brother's keeper? And he speaks more truly than Cain. He does not know where Christ is; he does not see what everyone sees; he does not see that instead of being his faithful keeper, he was his guilty murderer; he no longer remembers his own imprecation: May his blood be upon us and our children. He does not see that with this blood weighs on his head the blood of all persecuted righteous ones, beginning with Abel's.... (see link for more)

Another Cain The Jewish people, in the fury of their jealousy, killed Christ their brother, leader of the younger people, the Christian people. Eighteen centuries have passed since this crime. For eighteen centuries, God and men have asked this other Cain:…
Cain will be cursed for the fratricide of his brother. A terrible curse drives him from the land that he has soaked with his brother's blood, and condemns him to a wandering and fugitive life. Then Cain indirectly admits his crime, saying that it is too great for him to obtain pardon or bear the punishment. But what primarily occupies him is the fear of being killed: he felt well that he deserved it. God reassures him on this point. As sole master of life, He permits no one to take Cain's life;
He wants, through the fugitive and trembling life of this first murderer, to inspire horror of murder in all men. To increase this horror further, He announces that whoever kills him would be punished seven times more.
